Ideas you suggested in your newsletter seems pretty good. We would love to see some of the real world tricky situations/problems that kids can understand and solve it by themselves. Basically I’m talking about how they apply their logic to solve day-to-day puzzles. For example, when kids go hiking suddenly they encounter a small lake which they can not pass through it by walking in water or walking around. How would they over come that situation and how they apply logic to build a small floaty using dried up woods etc. This just an example. My son always ask me problems/situations of that kind. I like all the ideas you have in the newsletter. Can you seperate things for boys and girls? For instance the colouring pictures, for boys and coulouring pictures for girls. I try to extend the ideas to crafts, so the 24 hour book, used some designs to ¨construct¨buildings.

thanks for the lovely book.It was amazing to see such interesting geometrical pictures for the kids to colour which can lead to opening wide parameters in this field.Also,would like to suggest that apart from the geometical pictures you can also provide us pictures on dolls and cartoons,birds and animals,still life and nature etc so that the kids will have another interesting and favourite things to do.Hope this will be considered.Thanks again!!!

My children loved the coloring book!I found it was more age appropriate for the bigger children.Your ideas all sound great as I have girls and boys, different ages. Looking forward!!

The trick that worked for my daughter was RPG video games. These games, such as the final fantasy series, require reading to solve problems or to determine the next location. They also begin to develop some cooperative skills in a virtual setting. Of course I never let on that I approved of these games. They were another privilege she could earn and by the end of the year she went from a struggling reader to the top of her class

As a third grade teacher and mother of an eight year old daughter, I really appreciate what you’ve done. It works well with patterns, geometry, fine motor skills, creativity, and intrinsic motivation. It would be nice to see more logic puzzles/brain teasers. Could you incorporate addition/subraction/multiplication/division with dot to dot? One of the erlier posters on this page asked how she could make her son appreciate reading more. Could you add story maps or do themed paper dolls/finger puppets based on popular stories so kids could summarize, retell, and maybe use predicting or questioning with the story? Paper doll would allow kids to use their creativity in numerous ways! Again, thank you for your hard work.

My kids love the 24 Hours of Peace and Quiet. All of your new ideas for activities sound great, although my boys might not appreciate the paper dolls as much as they will the paper airplanes or origami.

I just downloaded the coloring book with my husbands help (I am not very computer litterate), I did it for my Grandkids and for Grandma herself (you’re never too old for coloring & it is relaxing physically and mentally for kids and adults!). Also, it does give you extra time for yourself-to relax and have fun, or to finish housework or a project you have going. Thanks so very much!! God Bless from all of my HEART. Grandma591

The coloring book was wonderful for my son,5 yrs. old and gifted, each day he chooses the page he wants-different or the same as the 3 before and with each one I see lights going on and that gives me more peace and quiet than you’ll ever know…Joseph is very mathmatically & scientifically gifted, therefore these are a great source joy and learning.

Brain teasers,Hidden pictures and other games which would help the lateral thinking.

Mam, one more thing i wanted to know is how to make my 8.9 year old son to take interst in reading the books.He is always in front of the TV watching Movies and cartoons.He is also very poor in socialising with other childrens of his age.
