  1. Jen B. says:

I’ve been printing out pages of “Twenty-Four-Hours of Peace-&-Quiet” and leaving them on the kitchen table for my five children each morning. Now, they don’t wake me up early in the morning, they spend an hour or two coloring the designs until I am ready to wake up and get them dressed! An extra hour-plus of sleep for me… thanks so much, Ellen- this ebook is the best!!!

  2. Lori D. says:

It was a little miracle. All three of my children sat quietly from the moment they came home from school, until I served dinner, nearly three hours later! I was able to finish all of the housework, and catch up on my reading!

  3. Ellen C. Braun says:

    Thanks, Jen and Lori:)

Enjoy and relax, you certainly deserve it!

  4. janie says:

Hi Ellen, my girls are 7 1/2- twins, and they are very artistic and really enjoyed coloring the pages. They used markers, watercolors, pastels and colored pencils- it was terrific because last week was very rainy here.

Thanks a lot, and I look forward to future products you develop.

  5. Marie says:

Well, my son colored one part of one sheet for a few moments, then turned it over to draw monstors, which is his favorite things to do with drawing instruments.

  6. Ellen C. Braun says:

Courtney, I just sent it to you, let me know that you got it ok:)

Marie- that is cute, how old is he?

  7. Kim says:

Wow. I can’t believe how much my 4 year old loves doing these. She has colored several each morning this week since I started printing them off. Even my 2 year old tries to “stay in the lines”! Thanks Ellen for this great activity!

  8. Joyce says:

It wouldn’t download for me-it said I had to pay for it. So my son didn’t get to do it.

  9. Ellen C. Braun says:

Joyce, I never heard of that issue! Paying for Acrobat?!!

I just replied to your comment/email- you should have the Zip file now:-)

  10. Sara Thierer says:

Ellen, my grandchildren loved the pages. They are five and three and live with me. I’m trying to launch a couple websites, work and help raise these little girls. ANYTHING that keeps them quiet for a while is my idea of heaven!

Know what I’d like to see? Anything that would reinforce for our daughters and granddaughters that girls are strong, independent and smart.

  11. Ellen C. Braun says:

Thanks so much for posting, Sara! Your granddaughters are lucky to have such a wonderful grandmother:-)

Teaching our girls that they are strong, smart, and independent- GOOD STUFF! I have to think about that… the Legally Blonde movie just came to mind;)

  12. Tyra says:

My kids ages 6 and 2 loved the pages - very different from other coloring pages. Lots of fun, thanks so much!

  13. Janell says:

My kids ages 13 and 9 LOVE the coloring sheets. They come to me and ask to color one. They have NEVER asked to color anything before!!! Thanks for the hours of fun.

  14. Sheila says:

My whole family loves these coloring pages.

  15. Ellen C. Braun says:

Wow, from age 2 through 13… all coloring! I wonder if there’s a way that I can enable you to upload your finished products? In the meantime, please scan or photograph your colored sheets and email them to me! (Simply reply to any of my emails) Thanks:)

  16. Lisa Rolins says:

Zack loves to color and the pages kept him busy all Sunday morning. He loves Dinosaurs and frogs, so that would be great to see if future books.

  17. Ellen C. Braun says:

    Hi Lisa, thanks for posting:)

You can find pictures of animals at Crayola’s website.

  18. jen says:

i just can’t seem to find a downloadable link or acrobat file–followed the link, got the email, where are the pages to be found? thank you, they do sound lovely i look forward to their appearance.

  19. Ellen C. Braun says:

    Hi Jen,

Please email me and I’ll respond to the email with the file in Zip format. I’m not technologically savvy enough to understand why the link sometimes does not work, lol!

  20. Tanya says:

I can’t get the website to open up. Is there another way to receive the coloring sheets?

  21. Tanya says:

Thank you for the zip file! My sons enjoy coloring on the pages I print out in the morning!
    Thank you!!

  22. Rachel says:

My three kids loved the coloring. I liked how the pages had such an open-ended choice as to how they each could color it. They all saw the patterns differently and made a variety of wonderful pictures. Thank you.

    Rachel

  23. Fiona says:

    Hi Ellen

I wasn’t able to download ……. but will wait patiently for the zip file!
Thanks again for a greta site!

  24. Fiona says:

    Hi Ellen

I wasn’t able to download ……. but will wait patiently for the zip file!

Thanks again for a great site!

  25. Carla says:

My daughter loves this coloring book. We have spent valuable time together coloring in this book. We loved the patterns and the endless creative options! Thank you!

  26. Kerri says:

Ellen - Thank you so much for the great coloring book!! I printed out the pictures & the whole family has been coloring for days!! Even my husband grabbed a picture (or two! lol) to color as we read aloud last night. Your book’s terrific!! Thanks again. Kerri

  27. Kori says:

My 6 year old son thought the coloring book was “Cool”. He really enjoyed the different designs and shapes. He was very proud to show us the finished pages.

    Thanks.

  28. Ellen C. Braun says:

Thanks, all for your kind comments!

Again, if anyone has trouble downloading it, simply reply to any of my emails, and I’ll send you the file. I do wish I knew why it sometimes worked and other times did not cooperate… however such is life with computers;)

For those of you that asked for simpler pictures for younger children, www.crayola.com has lots of traditional coloring pages.

  29. Judy says:

This was great. we just started our art lessons and the first was “lines” this has gone great with it.
    Thank you for this!
    judy

  30. Eva says:

My kids loved it and took it out of my hands to color the pages.

  31. Melody B says:

I printed out a couple of pages and left them on the table for my boys, 6 & 4. The 6-year old was interested and started coloring one of the pages, but the 4-year old did not want to even start. The 6-year old soon lost interest and moved on to something more physically active. I have always loved playing with geometric designs, but my boys would rather draw their own pictures than color a picture or design someone else has created. Oh well, it was worth a try! I will probably pull it out again when they are a little more mature.

  32. Tina says:

I can not seem to get where I can download the coloring book? I confirmed my subscription? Please help!!! Thank you Tina

  33. Kate says:

I would love to post about the coloring book but I cannot get it, or see anyway to get it. I have confirmed my subscription. I have checked each email to see if there is an attachment so I CAN download the book and there is nothing. It sounds wonderful and all the comments make me more frustrated in not being able to access it. Help!
    Kate

  34. Kate says:

PS from Kate…. I have sent 2 emails to you and have goten no reply or attachment regarding this coloring book. I’m so anxious to get it since it sounds great.
    Again….HELP!!
    :)
    Kate

  35. Laurel George says:

I tried to download the coloring book, but adobe reader had difficulty with it and could not do it. I wish I knew what the problem was and how to get the coloring book to download for me.

  36. Ellen C. Braun says:

Hi all- I have emailed the ebook to everyone who posted that they could not open it. Some of my emails bounced back; if you have not yet recieved it your email account was likely over quota, clear it out and contact me through here: www.raisingsmallsouls.com/meet-ellen-c-braun/

  37. Lisa McKelvey says:

I couldn’t download it for some reason. So my son didn’t get to do it. Thanks anyway. Lisa

  38. Deborah says:

I love your coloring pages for me…very therapeutic….the kids on the other hand have not yet developed the attention span required. They would appreciate ( so I am told ) pages with horses for one and gorillas for the other! LOL

  39. Pamela says:

My son thought it was neat after they were colored. Thank you very much. We both had fun coloring together.

  40. Kasey S. says:

I hvae 4 girls, ages 12, 6, 5 and 2. They all loved coloring the designs to see who’s would be the “best.” Everything in my house is a competition, but it gives me about an hour of quiet time to get some work done or some Mommy time. I’ve actually been able to read a book for fun during the daylight. Thanks for the books and I look forward to more. Again, with 4 girls, anything “foo-foo” would be a great addition. They love animals, fairies, etc. I enjoyed coloring the designs. Reminded me of Salvador Dali. :)

  41. Tina says:

They all love them!! Just the calming activity, when the day is getting crazy!! Thank you.
    Tina

  42. Leah M. says:

My oldest son loves them! My youngest son tolerates them. He is more of a “hands on” learner and to sit and color, just isn’t his thing. When he is in the mood, he does well though.

I acutally got to have some peace and quiet the other morning.

    Thanks much,
    Leah

  43. Mitch Wilson says:

Hi Ellen, love the ‘24 hours of peace and quiet’, all of us, me and the children loved doing the colouring. I work in a primary school and would love it if i could please use these for our ‘lunch club’. this is a place for the children who need quiet time to come, and drawing/colouring are amongst their favourite tasks. thanks. Mitch.

  44. Laura G. says:

My seven year old daughter (sorry-seven and a half year old daughter), upon discovering me printing the book, asked if I could make a spare copy for her (incase she loses one). She also wanted me to make copies for her classmates, friends, and teachers so that she will have pages available wherever she goes. Now that’s what I call a successful activity!

Debra, in posting number 39, said that one of her children would like to see horses in a future book. I would have to say that if you were to make a book about animals available, especially horses, that this same daughter would never leave your website!

    Thanks for being here!

    Laura G.

  45. Sarah says:

Very interesting and inspiring! I would ask for more “traditional” geometrical patterns in perhaps a follow-up? There are so many interesting shapes and patterns woven into architecture around the world (take Middle Eastern mosques and synagogues for example); I had a book full off these patterns once. I would hand them out to my students (7 year olds) upon completing their classwork; like a treat at the end of the week. It was quite appreciated. :)

  46. Jessica Coker says:

We are about to embark on a two-week trip to Connecticut to visit my sister. We are driving from Louisiana. That is a long time in the van for 5 children. When I saw the coloring book I was overjoyed. I downloaded and printed the book and showed it to the children. They are excited about coloring the pages with brand new boxes of color pencils and seeing the designs and can not wait to start the trip.

  47. DM says:

I love this coloring book! I have four children they love it. We take it with us to restraunts to stay busy. We also have fun just coloring at home. I have been searching for something just like this. Thanx

  48. CD says:

I was able to download the book, however the first page(cover) printed blurry patterns. The rest of the pages were clear and not blurry at all. I wonder why.
    Thanks.

  49. Elizabeth Holt says:

Wow! What a resource! I’ve got to get more black toner for our printer!

My 11 and 7yo love the little designs, but there are only a few pages that my 3yo can work with easily. I suppose I could try enlarging the little ones…

Oh, for a toner cartridge! I keep promising, “Someday soon, your prints will come…” :o )

Thank you for sharing your gifts and talents!

  50. Kathie Marshall says:

I printed a copy of these pages out to take on vacation with us. We didn’t get them out until the trip home, but it was definitely worth it! Even I got involved and colored one. :)

    Thanks!
    Kathie

  51. Rebecca says:

My son loved it. Thanks so much for offering this. It is very appreciated.

  52. Anne Kennedy says:

Thank you ~ It is so refreshing to have something available for budget conscious people that is so nicely designed! I have four kids, aged 13 to 6, and they all loved them, the big surprise being that I actually got hooked sitting down to color with them!

  53. kim o says:

  56. Tisa Gentry says:

The 24hr of peace and quiete was amazing. My kids are 2 and 4 and loved them, but the one i think got them most out of them was my husband. He saw me printing off a page for me and the kids and asked that i print one for him to, so we got to sit down as a family and color to gether.

Thank you form the bottem of my heart.

  57. Gale says:

  59. Fiona says:

My daughter is considering it *L*, but I think it’s wonderful. When she realizes I don’t care if she does it or not she’ll love it.

  61. Bev Sirois says:

I got the coloring book for my class at school BUT my youngest(age 13)saw me printing the pages and was jealous. I am so happy I found your address. Thank you.

  62. E. Joanne Stuart says:

I was unable to download the file. :o (

  63. Kathleen says:

They loved it, judging from the popularity of this item I am sure they will love the next one too. I have three girls ages 7,9,10 and one boy age 5, so I think the cut out dolls and airplanes would be popular in this house.
    Thanks!

  64. Melody B says:

Ellen, my boys really enjoy mazes & dot-to-dots. I would love to see a book of that sort. They are almost 7 and almost 5.

  65. Stephanie T. says:

I have 7 children and they were all excited to sit down and start coloring in their books. My 4 youngest (ages 5-8) ask me if they can color in their books rather than taking naps as long as they are still and quiet. This coloring book has provided our family with some positive quiet time and the children are so proud of their designs!

  66. Pam P. says:

My daughter likes the coloring pages. My son would probably go for the logic puzzles and the mazes. Thanks for asking!

  67. Lisa B. says:

My son, age 7, really likes mazes. I would love to surprise him with some to do everyday as he wishes. Coloring airplanes would be great also. He, as all boys do, loves cars and “monster trucks”, so something to do with those would be good as well.

  73. Loretta says:

we would love to see a colouring book of paper dolls from different countries and historic periods. Also to include boy dolls as well as girl ones, these are sometimes lacking!

  74. Kimberly says:

My kids are not color-ers. I have eight between the ages of 19 and 4. None of them really like to spend time with coloring books, but they will do dot-to-dot, mazes, logic puzzles. I have subscribed to the Puzzlemania books published by Hightlights. Primarily for 7-12 years old, my 14 and 16 year old like to look at them, too. I subscribed to the puzzle books about each of the 50 states and currently get puzzle books about countries(all by Highlights)

    Thanks from Australia

I have not given my kids all the pages yet. They are working on them piecemeal. But they seem to enjoy them!
As for the next version, the age of the specific child tends to determine who will enjoy what activities, the younger ones maybe will enjoy some dot-to-dot pages or some mazes and the older ones some logic puzzles (?). But they all seem to enjoy the pictures and designs in the first book!
    Thanks,
    Kim Goldstein

  127. Tzivia says:

I see so many people loved the coloring book, too bad my kids didn’t go for it and found the designs too small.I take care of about 15-20 kids ages ten and down to three, many who are orphans.
I think maybe the paper dolls or dot to dot might work for them. Also the mazes, but timust be much larger and bolder in print. Thanks for a great site.
    Tzivie

  128. Dee says:

These pages are wonderful. The finished products are fantastic. But my younger niece did not have patience to complete a page. Perhaps you could send some with less forms to color and bigger spaces. Also, it might be nice to have geometric borders to color. Then the children could create their own masterpieces (or paste a photo)within.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
    Dee

  129. rivky says:

i have a few pages that i have created similar to these, how can i share them?

  130. polly says:

I wanted to get permission to use these in my classroom and possibly our After School Program but was unable to find out where to get permission. I think my Kindergarten class would love these.

  131. Tina says:

They really love it. I am printing just one at a time, and both of my girls really love coloring. It’s amazing how many different ways they can “go” with the designs.

    Thanks,

    Tina

  132. Max says:

My kids are 18 and 15 yrs old. I thought the coloring book was too good to pass up, so I’m passing it on to others. Origami is something I learned years ago and has always been special; very few people know much about it. In scouts we would suck an egg into a milk bottle; week after week after week. The boys loved it.
Get a real milk bottle, old style. Hard boil and peel an egg. Take a scrap of paper, light it on fire and drop it into the bottle; immediately place the egg on the top of the bottle. The heat causes a vacuum which sucks the egg into the bottle. Be prepared to do this often.

  133. Shari says:

My kids really like mazes and origami, so I guess that’s on top of our list for what we’d like to see in your next issue.
Really looking forward to seeing it!!
    Thanks so much!! :-)

    Shari

  134. Tina says:

Both of my girls LOVE mazes! I’ve seen some neat ones that are shaped like animals and such. The paper dolls idea is also a wonderful one.
    Thanks for all you do!

    Tina

  135. brenda says:

    I had trouble downloading it . I’ve never had trouble before,so I don’t know what’s wrong.Sorry I didn’t respond sooner.Brenda

  136. Shannon says:

My son would really enjoy the paper airplanes. Mazes and logic problems are also a big hit in my household. How about a few kid soduko problems. Using pictures instead of numbers maybe. Thanks so much for the first book, it has been a lifesaver at times.

  137. Brigitte says:

My daughter would LOVE the paper dolls. It would provide a great incentive to finish her homework if afterwards she woork on “her dolls”

  138. Teresa says:

I loved it and shared with a parent of two boys. I agree with others, share more! I have a request from one of the teachers to send too so she can use it in her Head Start classroom! I believe more will request when they see it as well.

  139. Linda says:

I hate to say it, but my son didn’t want anything to do with it. He is almost 4 and is more into taking things apart than creating something from scratch. He’s very analytical. Anything for kids with this personality type would be good. Thanks!

    I really enjoyed it, though!!!

  140. Robin Werme says:

    Hi Ellen,
I had a bit of trouble downloading the coloring book, but was finally able to get it. I printed it out and everyone in the family (big and small) thought the pages would be awesome to color…but honestly, I am the only one who did coloring so far during a very sleepless night. Thank you!

  141. Sara says:

I can’t wait to try it out, unfortunatly, my printer broke just days after I downloaded the coloring book.

I’ll definatly update when I get a chance to print it out.

  142. Susan Bastura says:

I am intrigued and impressed with all the geometric patterns included in the coloring book. As a private math consultant, I will use these to give to teachers working on identifying patterns, lines and shapes.

  143. Ginger says:

I cannot figure out how to get to the download page, I keep going around in circles.

  144. Adi says:

I downloaded the coloring book but have not yet printed since I have a two year old boy who’s idea of coloring at the moment is the table and couches. I do look forwards to coloring with him in the summer when he is older. I think for kids his age they need more simple things to color as this for him now will be just lines on a page…
Thanks for the great activity though. Will use it at his next birthdya party :-)

  145. j says:

I apparently have downloaded the coloring book, but I don’t know where it is. Can you tell me how to get it?

  146. menachem says:

My daughter would love the paper airplanes and the logic puzzles!

  147. Paula says:

Thanks so much for the coloring book! It is great! She loves to color, and these pages keep her coloring for hours!

  148. Carol says:

To all the wonderful parents and small soul co.,
I thought the coloring book designs were awesome! This will be a great way to teach my 4 year old son about patterns and using color to make them-
Also, I saw several ideas above about other suggestions for coloring books, since I have two boys 4yrs and 7yrs they would love the paper airplanes-
I would love, love, love to see some kind of coloring book designed around teaching gratitiude and good character-

For a gratitude idea it could be a daily sheet done throughout the month “Today I am thankful for….” and let the children fill in the answer or let them illustrate what they are thankful for. Trust me you will be amazed at the things that children are thankful for-My 4 yrs old told me yesterday that he was thankful to have hands. Wow! Talk about shocked, I was amazed that a 4yr old would give that as an answer and the same concept would be great for teaching good character ex: ” Today I was truthful about (blank)….It is important to be truthful because (blank)……and each day of the month fill in a new good character to learn about-maybe even put a short paragraph at the top about someone who is not using good character to allow for discussion about why each is important and let the children interpret the story and compare to how they do each of these things. Let’s face it-these types of things for children are often overlooked and I would enjoy having a teaching tool to go along with what I am already trying my best to teach.

  149. FIONA YEATES says:

The colouring book itself was what I consider very unique it captured my imagination for unknown reasons. I have to say it was just fascinating I could imagine colouring in each pattern myself. I have not tried it on my 2 year old grand-daughter mainly because I think she’s too young, but I have to say the suggestions on raising children with healthly self esteem have made me think and take action along with her mother my daughter. Thank you loads!

  150. Rachel says:

We would love to see a logic problem book.

  151. Linda says:

I am a middle school special education teacher and this is a fantastic tool for autistic children and particularily children with Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity. I allow a few students to keep one page on their desk for coloring while instruction is going on. This keeps them attentive and focused. I love it! I would love to see ANY of the titles mentioned, but my daughter would go crazy over “Paper Dolls”. Thanks for the insight and inspiration provided on your website and links. “Animal School” roped me in and I am staying!! Job Well Done!

  152. mao says:

I have already downloaded the coloring book and my 6-years-old son has finished one sheet. But he refused to make one more as his less patient. Is there more effective method for his continuing?

    Thank.

  153. Rachel says:

Went camping this weekend where it poured buckets of rain, but my 3 girls (4,6 and 8) stayed under a tarp…near the fire….over a picnic table and colored away with colored pencils. Lots of oohs and aaahhs from fellow campers. Thank you…

  154. Elvia says:

    It is an awesome book!!!

  155. C says:

They look very cute! I would appreciate something geared toward my younger children (1 and 2) Thanks!

  156. Kathy says:

My daughter age 8 loved the coloring pages. She hasn’t completed all of them yet but loves the fact she can make color patterns!! She loves to color so we’ll print out as many as you send.

    Thanks!!

  157. Natalie Onuffer says:

I have a community web site in Colorado. I would very much like to post your book on this site if I may. My son is 8 and this type of work really strums his little boy soul. I am very grateful for the fun you have brought to his time spent in meetings trying to be still and quiet. What a big help.

    Natalie

  158. Jill says:

My daughter is 6 1/2 and she LOVES to do mazes. I just have a problem finding age-appropriate ones. Usually they are too easy for her. I would really like to see some mazes that are a little more challenging for her. Thanks!

  159. Leah Jean says:

Thanks a lot. It worked wonders at church. I was able to listen to the speakers and my children did something creative. I even had one mother ask me where I got it and I passed the information on.

Wonderful patterns and many opportunities to be creative.

  165. Carole says:

On the day I received it, my 6 and 4 year old sat for close to an hour having fun. I couldn’t believe it! It was like magic. They even gave their “new” project a special name–The Redskins/Ravens Fun Coloring Project.

  166. Mary says:

I feel embarrased but the coloring book was for me! I give the kids their own coloring books and we sit together and I color this one and they color theirs. Well, whats wrong with a 41 year old woman coloring!

  167. Annette says:

I really love these coloring pages, so do my kids!
i woudl love to see some origami soon!! I think that could be a lot of fun.

We are still working on it, thanks for suggesting it. My older boys have found pleasure in the designs and it brings us together and we can share our ideas for colours. Thanks again.

  170. Amy Simmons says:

My newborn is not old enough, but I printed it for my nephew while he visits. It is education and has them us their imagination some and helps with learning shapes. Thank you for coming up with this.

  171. Carol says:

Thank you for the wonderful coloring book. I printed a copy for each of my girls (5yo and 7yo) and myself, and we’re having a great time coloring and comparing the patterns of colors we’ve selected. The girls get so excited when they see the designs practically pop off the page once they’re colored. The coloring books kept the three of us pleasantly occupied while we waited for our car to be repaired at the dealership last week. What a relaxing, creative activity. Thanks!

  172. Christine says:

I love the booklet! I am hanging on to my copy, ready to reproduce as needed. I got the site from our school phyc. a forward about the animals. I have enjoyed everything you have sent me from then on. I work in the resourse dept. and the pics will come in handy for those down times.

  173. Michell says:

Thanks so much for the e-book. My children are (boy) 8 and (girl) 11 and they really enjoy the designs. They would like different designs and boy and girl paper dolls. They are homeschooled and these help at those “break times” during the day. Keep up the wonderful things you do for all of us. Peace and Blessings To you. :)

  174. Angela says:

The coloring book reminded me of a book I had when I was a child. I remembered trying to envision the 3-D patterns as being real and trying to create my own designs. I’m hoping as my daughter sees them she will be creative and imagine her own designs as well.

  175. mayraeddieno says:

My kids both LOVE this book and have been using it all weekend. I think they have finished all the pages. Thanks!!!!!!!

  176. Debbie says:

  180. Sharleen says:

My girls (18, 13, 11 months) have loved the coloring book! Ok, maybe not the youngest yet (she’s too busy trying to eat the crayons and tear the paper), but she’ll get there.

Maybe the next one can have some abstract art in it. They were looking for some abstract coloring pages and haven’t been able to find any.

  181. Grandma Marilyn says:

Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful activities. I have shared them with my 8 grandchildren. They suggested more mazes and logic problems.
    Grandma Marilyn

  182. Marilyn says:

My daugthers loved them even the teens! They like them the way they are but suggested mazes and logic problems might be fun as well!

  183. Jane says:

My boys initially liked looking at the designs, but then put them aside. They have never been into coloring, so it didn’t surprise me. Puzzles, mazes, and problems would be more interesting to them.

  184. Aruna says:

The coloring book is fantastic. My nephew and me had a wonderful time coloring the pages and checking the color schemes. The activity helped me to unwind after a stresssful day at school! And gave me something to discuss in the class too!! My nephew who is a bit handful, was so engrossed that everyone started missing him!
word games and word search would also be welcome!!
    aruna

  185. Carol says:

All the the ideas you listed would be great. If I had to rank them in order of “ga-ga” appeal for my girls, I would put print-and-color paper dolls, print-and-color airplanes, and more coloring designs at the top of the list. :-D Thanks!!

  186. Patsy Oorjitham says:

A new subscriber, I downloaded the 24-hours-of-peace,& quiet, for my grandchildren and grand nieces and nephews. As a retired elementary school teacher, I can see the value in such materials (pre-geometry skills, recognizing patterns, etc.) and know from experience how much the children enjoy them. Keep up the good work.

  187. Jen says:

    love it

  188. Jen says:

It worked. My kids love it. They enjoy all the different designs.

art project. I have boys 10 & 7. They both love the coloring sheets. I think the paper airplanes would be great as well as mazes and oragami. My 10yr old still loves all that stuff thay he can have input in designing!
    Thanks for getting our opinions!

  192. Kathy says:

    Ellen,
I loved the pattern pages to be colored. I actually am a Principal of an elementary school. We have been blessed this year to get a 9 year old child who has NEVER been to school. She is truly like a sponge, absorbing all that comes her way. I thought these pages would be great to teach her about patterns and colors. She LOVES them!!!!!!
    Thanks you!

Wonderful book! I forwarded it to the entire school where I work. It’s great!

  194. Sandy says:

    Thanks Ellen

  195. Debbie Petty says:

My kids would all love dot to dots. Mine are 5, 8 and 10 so they would need various levels, but good dot to dot books are not easy to come across.

    Thanks,
    Debbie

Hi. I have been trying to download your pages of 24 Hours of Peace and Quiet and instead I keep being sent back to where I began. What do I need to do because I really am interested in that!? Thanks

  197. Skye says:

I think that mazes, logic and the paper airplane and dolls are all excellent ideas. Creative play that engages a child’s imagination while developing spatial and sequential thought process is wonderful. If you choose to create the dolls, please have them diverse and some differently abled. Thank you!

  198. Audrey says:

I downloaded the colouring book to help some of my slower pupils and have not used it as yet. However it looks great and I am sure it will help.

  217. Sheri says:

The coloring book is a blessing. I have recently became a mother of three kids after joining lives with my partner. My 12yr. old boy is autistic. He and his 9 year old sister fight like cats and dogs so I used this book as a special sharing time gift for the 9yr. old to balance out the high level of attention the autistic boy gets. I saw less fighting this weekend. They were at peace!

  218. Jody Link says:

Thank you for the zip file - the colouring book is amazing! You inquired as to what else would interest the children - mazes and origami would be wonderful!
I have three girl scout troops and from Brownie to Cadette - “Very Cool!”

  219. Hallie says:

The coloring book is wonderful! My daughter (5) and I went on a family trip this past weekend and she and MY brother (28) colored some of the pages. I think they both enjoyed them the same! My son (3) seems to enjoy them too, as do I. I have always said coloring is therapeutic. This is the cheapest therapy you will find!!! Thanks!

  220. Lisa says:

Thank you very much for the coloring pages. They are great. My boys haven’t colored much yet. They loved it when I gave them a couple of pages so I need to try some more. I would like to see some of the following next:

    - Pring-&-Color Paper Airplanes

    - Mazes

    - Origami

I have enjoyed your emails and look forward to picking up some of the books you recommended. It has been nice to receive some support and ideas and feel less alone at this parenting thing that so often defies logic! Thank you very much!

    Lisa

    Oragami

    Thank you!

  226. Heather Macdonald says:

Thanks! My 4 year old who is very artistic was very proud of her work - And it was fun to watch her try to figure out how to “design” her coloring!

  229. Betty says:

I have not been able to get my hyperactive Bipolar/ADHD boys to color anything yet. I am about ready to color them myself for stress relief, lol.
I was having trouble downloading it also. I could not get the Adobe Reading to download either. I could not figure out why. This is a fairly new computer so I just did a system restore. I figured something must have snuck onto my computer. Anyway, that worked and I was able to do the free Adobe download. There is the upgrade that you have to pay for but the simple one is still free.
