The Art Glass

Art glass normally means the modern art glass movement in which individual artists working alone or with a few assistants to create works from molten glass in relatively small furnaces of a few hundred pounds of glass.

Thank you so much for sending me those wonderful worksheets! My children love to do those dot-to-dot sheets. Seeing those paperdolls took me way back! Thanks for the flash of the past!

Thanks for the no-batteries-required activities! There is one dot-to-dot I will not be printing - the one that appears to be promoting alcohol. Maybe someday we will get to a point that alcohol is less common and stemmed glasses imply fruit juice!

Wow, these are fantastic activities. I like the creative format of the dot-to-dots. I know some homeschooled girls and boys who will love the paper dolls. Paper dolls were one of my favorite things when I was growing up. Thanks for the Civil War era dolls. Merry Christmas to all!

The paper dolls are wonderful. An idea for all you saavy Moms. Any local art supply store sells "color water pencils". These will give your child hours of clean fun. You simply draw (or if you child is older s/he could do it)a line down the side of where you want the color on the doll or the dress. Then you give your child a paintbrush and a small glass of water. Yes, the dip in water and paint the color you set into the picture. voila!
{some of you may remember the coloring books that did this when you were a child, same concept)
Suggestion: print the dolls on heavier card stock if you plan to do this, the water won't interfere with the paper as much.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year:)

Love the Paper Dolls. I must remember to let the children color, cut and dress them before I do. I copied them several times so they will have several different outfits in different colors. WONDERFUL!!! THANK YOU....

This is just a sharing thing to your network.
Last year my sister gave our parents a nice table-top treasure chest filled with what looked like home-made confetti for Christmas. Actually, there were 365 memories written on yellow legal pad, and then cut apart and folded. One for each day of the year. So every day my parents pull out a memory from our childhood and read it. This year my three siblings and I are contributing 90+ memories to keep the tradition going. This idea could be great for children to give to their grandparents.

Ellen,
Thanks for the great Paper Dolls and Dot-to-Dot pages. These were well received by my two daughters who are 4 and 6. It is a nice change of pace and something interesting for them to be occupied with while Mommy is busy getting last minute things taken care of.
Merry Christmas!

hey! thanks for the paper doll and dot to dot ideas. those are great for my neices and nephews. I appreciate your site. I was wondering if around the holidays you could send out ideas for parents of small children to do together. For example, i just finished making a christmas tree out of my two year old son's hands. I like to give the grandparents an art activity each holiday whether it be christmas or thanksgiving etc....but i tend to run out of ideas with the little ones....

thanks,
Carmen

hey! thanks for the paper doll and dot to dot ideas. those are great for my neices and nephews. I appreciate your site. I was wondering if around the holidays you could send out ideas for parents of small children to do together. For example, i just finished making a christmas tree out of my two year old son’s hands. I like to give the grandparents an art activity each holiday whether it be christmas or thanksgiving etc….but i tend to run out of ideas with the little ones….

thanks,
