After my last stroller was stolen, I decided to do lots of research and buy a stroller that had lots of recommendations from real people — and I found it with this one! There are many reasons why the Chicco Cortina Keyfit 30 Travel System is a best-selling travel system. It is loaded with quality features and improved upgrades which take into account so many of the little conveniences that make a stroller advantageous. For both you and your baby, this travel system is great deal.

When you purchase the Chicco Cortina Keyfit 30 Travel System, you receive both the newly upgraded Chicco Cortina stroller as well as the Chicco Keyfit 30 car seat. The Chicco Keyfit 30 car seat is preferred by many parents for its lightweight and sleek design. It can accommodate a child up to 30 lbs, allowing this car seat to service you for several years. (Note that the regular Chicco Keyfit car seat holds babies until just 22 lbs.) When attached to the stroller, the car seat is rear facing, so that you can view your baby as you stroll together. The Chicco Keyfit’s base design allows you to easily transfer this car seat from car to stroller so that you can keep on the move with your baby at your side. The ‘spring loaded leveling foot’ makes this infant car seat one of the easiest car seats to install. You know that it’s installed correctly when you see the easy to read bubble – level guides on both sides of the base. Additionally, the bottom side of the base is closed in order to prevent any damage to your vehicle’s seat material. This stroller features multiple positions for your child, from fully reclining to an sitting upright. To make your child’s ride more secure and comfortable, it also provides an adjustable leg support — when folded upwards it provides a bassinet-style little cocoon for your baby. For your child’s safety, there is a 5-point harness to secure your child’s upper body and lap. (The shoulder straps can be removed for use with older kids.) The harness has an easy one-pull tightening and loosening feature which allows you to quickly and accurately adjust the harness to just the right fit. To accommodate your infant when in the stroller, there is the thickly padded insert which gives extra support for a smaller baby around the head, neck, back, and bottom. The carrier shell is cushioned with energy absorbing foam for improved impact protection.

You’ll notice that the stroller folds away from the baby for safety. The Chicco Keyfit (the 30 version and the regular version) both get high grades from car seat technicians for the ease of use of the car seat. Additionally, you will notice that the car seat clips securely into the stroller, unlike some other brands where the car seat just seems to be resting on the stroller; with the Chicco system you can rest assured that the car seat is securely attached to the stroller.
Maneuverability:
The all wheel suspension system on the bottom of the stroller provides a smooth and comfortable ride for your baby, no matter how rugged the terrain is that you are on. Unless a local store has a floor sample or crazy sale going on, Amazon will be the lowest price.

I’ve walked a mile with this stroller ever since my son was born. Last year, we moved out of the city to the country and now this stroller goes through pastures, dirt roads, over rocks, and a little creek pretty much every day. And this Chicco stroller still looks new and works as well as the day we bought it. The only wear is on the tires. I’d guess that I’ve walked over 700 miles with it, and it still works perfectly. Everything on the stroller washes well too! I can’t tell you how glad my husband and I were that we purchased this set and not a cheaper one! With all the abuse that this stroller has taken I would expect it to be more worn out looking but it is in terrific condition. ~Amber, TX

Pros and Cons of the Chicco Cortina
Pros:
- Very plush and comfortable for baby; in the car seat and in the stroller.
- High safety ratings from Consumer Reports.
- Drives and turns easily.
- Folds with one hand and stands on its own while folded for added convenience.
- Substantial storage in the basket and within the parent tray on top.
Cons:
- Has a chemical smell for the first one-two weeks. Air it out on a porch before you place a baby in it!
- Although the stroller is rated until 55 lbs, practically, most babies will outgrow this stroller by width by the age of 3 or 4.
- The stroller takes up a lot of space while folded; it takes up more than half of the trunk of a Toyota Corolla.
- The sunshade can be tilted forward to block afternoon sunlight, but it will then leave the top open to the elements.
