Not one other individual in the entire world has your unique genetic make up. Finger prints?? No one else in the world has yours. They belong to you, and no other!! It does not matter if a person has disabilities, or not. Thank God we are all made completely different with our own special abilities, and talents. Please, don’t lump ALL teachers together in your assumption that we don’t treat our kids like individuals! We are teaching them to BE individuals and not follow the crowd as much as possible. Both boys are bright and amazingly creative. Most of the time, they are comfortable with who they are. They are the light of my life and I am thankful for them every day. Most kids are ok with it once they see he is not "hurt" he is just a "normal" kid and likes to play just like them. Adults on the other hand have this instant look of sadness and are so sad for him and me. I just look at them and say he knows no different and he is happy.
