I keep a journal for my girls and rediscovered this story from when my DD was about 1 1/2.
I was telling my daughter about my day at work and how I had "gotten in trouble" for making a mistake. She looked up at me with big blue eyes and said "I go work with you?"
I couldn't figure out why on earth she would want to go to work with me when I just finished telling her about how I was in trouble with my boss. I said "Why do you want to go to work with Mommy?"
Her reply "I make snake too Mommy. Like you did."
It was after a few moments of puzzling this out that I realized making a mistake can sound a lot like make a snake.
