Ellen C. Braun is a mother of three originally from a suburb of New York City. She currently lives in Baltimore, MD with her husband who is a principal of a vocational school for at-risk teenagers.

This site began years ago, when she started collecting notes and ideas about parenting. The Brauns have attended numerous conferences and lectures about raising happy and emotionally healthy children amidst turbulent times. From time to time, Ellen shared the insights gained from the educational conferences with her friends, and the idea for RaisingSmallSouls.com was then born.
