Note: Some of you have written that there is a typo near the end of the movie, when Laura says, “Then when people try to judge me by what I make, I can hold my head high and PAY” where the word PAY should actually be SAY.
It is being fixed currently – it was NOT a typo, rather, the bottom line was blocked out in the online version.
In the download version you will purchase the statement reads: “Then when people try to judge me by what I make, I can hold my head high and pay no attention because they are ignorant.”
Best,
Ellen

This movie is terrific. It’s more than terrific. It speaks to the heart of WHY I became a teacher and WHAT I do each day in my classroom.
An outstanding and inspirational piece. Thank you for all your efforts on behalf of small souls everywhere!
Kelly, mom of 2 small souls and 4th grade teacher of 29 small souls
This movie came at the right time to re-energize myself in the classroom. I will be sharing this movie with my colleauges at our staff meeting next week.
Thank you,
Tom, teacher for 31 years
This movie eloquently expresses the value of our small souls’ teachers in a society which often demeans them. Thank you for this uplifting message.
This is my first September in 55 years (as a student and a teacher) that I have not been in a classroom. I am very proud to have been a teacher. Your movie brings back many wonderful memories of my career.
As an educator, I know we make a difference. I have heard this story, but the video really brings it home. Thank you for making an old soul feel that we have a special purpose as educators.
As a teacher for 12 years I know that I make a difference in my students lives. From the smiles on their faces to the good morning Mrs. Opio to the hugs I get when they walk by. Seeing my past students succeeding and looking for me to tell me how they are doing and that I was the best teacher they had tells me I make a difference. Thank you for making me see that I still have a purpose and a love for teaching small souls. I plan on sharing this with my fellow colleagues as the new year has already started. God bless!
I’m sad. I can’t get the movie” What Teachers Make “to run.
Elaine, I’ll ask my tech people to help you out- what happens when you click the link? Do you get an error message? Cheer up- I hope this is the biggest problem in your life!
Thank you for the video. Our Principal forwarded it to all the teachers. Sometimes I start to feel like what people say is true… “those who don’t, teach”. I know it’s not true, but when you hear it over and over again it gets discouraging. This video was a real pick me up! I love what I do… and I know I make a difference!
Thank you. I am a second year teacher and I want to be successful in this profession. “What a Teacher Makes” is an inspiring story and has been translated beautifully into an equally inspiring movie.
I am currently studying to become a teacher and after watching this video I am even more inspired. Thank you so much for sharing.
